Playing in the best and most artistic way possible puts you in a dark and stressful world with a high degree of difficulty and challenges you, but as much as it is challenging and punishing, it is also rewarding. Rewards are fun and engaging that you can endure hardships eager to receive rewards. The making of Demon’s Souls Remake was a dream of many of us and we were really happy to hear about the making of this version. Now that we see this reconstruction of a masterpiece itself has become a great masterpiece and has been able to fully preserve the value and originality of the original game.

In a game full of ruthless and evil demons, it wouldn’t be a bad idea to band together to improve each other’s chances of winning. This unorthodox weapon deals both Physical and Magic damage, giving it various damage types to exploit enemy weaknesses. This is also one of the few weapons capable of two S Ranks in damage scaling with both Strength and Dexterity. This crude blade also has the added benefit of restoring 1% of player health with every successful strike, making it a mechanical antithesis to other Demon’s Souls weapons that hurt the wielder.

Whenever I felt that Demon’s Souls could have done more, though, I remembered the Old Monk boss fight. See, the Old Monk is a unique boss in Demon’s Souls which can actually be controlled by another player if they invade your world at the right time. It’s a brilliant use of the series’ PvP mechanics that has been incredibly difficult to properly experience in the years since Demon’s Souls‘ official servers went offline.

Many many times, particularly after you get knocked down if you try to roll away, you will end up going some direction you had not intended whatsoever, and this is likely to get you killed. I feel like Bluepoint could have made rolling a lot smoother here, and it wouldn’t have broken the balancing of the game.
